European Hematology Association National Societies Breakfast Meeting was done June 14, 2003 in Lyon and representatives discussed Hematology in Europe. Second National Societies Meeting was done June 9th, 2004 Geneva, Switzerland and Balkan Society of Hematology opinion firstly discussed during this meeting First Balkans Hematology Meeting was held within the 31. National Congress of the Turkish Society of Hematology on September 23-28, 2004 in Antalya, Turkey. Romanian, Greek and Turkish Hematology Society representatives were taken part at that meeting. After this meeting collaboration between Balkan Countries to form Balkan Hematology Association occurred. Then in November 26, 2004 the Balkan Countries Forum was held at the Panhellenic Annual Congress of Hematology in Athens. Albanian, Bulgarian, Romanian, Greek and Turkish Hematology Society Representatives were taken part in this meeting to encourage collaboration between The Balkan Countries Hematology Societies. Third Scientific Meeting of Hematologists from Balkans will be done May 21 on Bucharest- Romania
